The Southend Education Trust has been successfully
delivering the SA Scheme since 2002. We provide the scheme covering Essex,
Hertfordshire and Suffolk having links with the University of Essex, Anglia
Ruskin University, the University of Hertfordshire and University Campus
Suffolk as well as schools, colleges and ITT providers.
The SA Scheme offers students in higher education the opportunity to
undertake paid work experience in schools and sixth form colleges. Students
work side by side with teachers discovering the challenges of the teaching
profession or can work with a school on a specific school-centred project to
raise aspirations and act as positive role models for pupils considering
going to University.
